The 41st Annual Sorghum Festival - October 2010
The Parade
October 9, 2010 at 11:00am
One of the
mountain's largest parades takes place on the first Saturday of the
festival, October 9th. Kick back and relax as bands, floats, marching
units and other crowd pleasers weave their way through town starting at
11:00am.
Parade Route
The
parade begins from the south of town on 19/129 - Cleveland Street.
From there, it goes around the Square and heads west on Blue Ridge
Street.
It turns right on Earnest Street and then right on Highway 515, the
Bypass.
It continues on 515 through town and turns right on Young Harris Street,
just past the post office.
It goes west on Young Harris Street, around the Fort, and turns on
School Circle, where it ends. |
